Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway
The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway was the first narrow-gauge railway to be built in England.

Richard Woodall's shop in Waberthwaite (www.richardwoodall.com.uk) is a must for discerning sausage, bacon and ham lovers. Eight generations of the same family have ensured its success, with the ‘crowning' achievement being the award of a Royal Warrant in 1990 to supply the Queen with traditional Cumberland sausage, hams and bacon.
